Description:
Baylawn is 20 minutes from Charlottetown, a million miles from where you are now.
Baylawn is located in Blooming Point Prince Edward Island. It looks out on Tracadie Bay and is sheltered by a penninsula of P.E.I. National Park. As we say around here, we're "a long way from the road." That's what the locals say about a home where the din of the traffic can't be heard. The world drones on, but you don't have to know. The gentle wash of the sea against famous red soil, the songs of the sea birds carried on warm summer breezes.
From our front deck you can dream away the days. In the early morning have breakfast and watch as the local fishermen point their boats through the channel and out into the bay. Hours later, the low rumble of their engines return as they sail back to home ports with the bounty of a solid day's work.
A quick walk down to the water will allow you to watch mussel fishermen doing their work. Beneath the waters of Tracadie bay the famous Prince Edward Island Blue Mussel grow. If you take a drive around the bay, you can buy some fresh for supper.
Baylawn Cottage features two full bedrooms, and a loft where two more little people can pretend to command a pirate ship, or just hide away from the older folks.
We have a full kitchen, bathroom with a whirlpool bath, and for those cooler nights, there's a woodstove.
Once you arrive and the pantry is stocked, you won't need to go far.
Our property has a washer and dryer, and you will also find another fridge to fill with refreshments.
