Q: Why would I want to list my cottage on the Cottage Haven web page?

A:  Listing your cottage on Cottage Haven gets you so much more than advertising in a newspaper. You are not paying by the word and your potential buyers/renters can see photos of your cottage. Your listing is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for a year and gives you access to a much wider range of potential buyers/renters.  Your listing is also available to international buyers and renters.  Imagine how much you would have to spend on newspaper ads to get similar coverage!

Q:  What is Paypal?

A:  PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account.  It is used by large internet companies such as Ebay.  If you use Paypal to do your online purchasing you only have to give your credit card information to Paypal.  Paypal does not give your credit card information to anyone else.  This way you can make purchases on the internet safely as Paypal protects your credit card information and you do not have to give it to individual websites.  Find out more by going to www.paypal.com

A:  Yes. PayPal uses SSL technology to keep your information safe. In addition, when you send a payment using PayPal, the recipient won't receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. This way, you don't have to worry about paying people you don't know.

 

Q: Does it cost money to signup for Paypal?

Q:  Can I get an Availability Calendar?

We have found that many cottage owners list their cottages on several cottage rental sites.  To simplify the management of an availability calendar we suggest that cottage owners maintain only one availability calendar and provide links to the same calendar on any cottage rental advertising.  We recommend using the free availability calendar that is available at Renters.org for this purpose.
